10/15/2022 - We're off!

Most of us started our travel day at a time that was too early even for coffee! 

Nine of us met up at the Chicago Airport; our two southern members met us in Guatemala. Guatemala looks beautiful!

We met up with our hosts and then ate a delicious dinner in our first Guatemalan restaurant. Now onward to our mission!

10/21/2022 Guatemala City Tour

Interesting facts from our tour: Star of David is displayed in Guatemala City because Guatemala cast the last vote to approve the state of Israel. The city is 5000 feet above sea level. The reason for all of the monuments was to make Guatemala City, "The Little Paris."  Guatemala City has the " Cream House" instead of "The White House" In one of the government buildings: Every door handle has the leader's thumb print The inside has traffic lights throughout. Red means the leader is in. Yellow means ministers are in. Green means "go ahead and go about your work stress-free" Modeled after Barcelona's architecture. Made of volcano rock, obsidian, and marble. 8/30/2022 - Prayers, preparation, and getting to know each other begins!

  MOST Team 2205 gets started! Our team members from five different states spent some time getting to know each other. Our group consists of first-time to very-experienced MOST team members. We started working through our pre-trip Bible Study to prepare our hearts to serve God in Guatemala, and then began learning about the eyeglass ministry and important travel information. Please pray with us that we reach all of the people that God wants us to reach! Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”  And I said,  “Here am I. Send me!”
